Woodworking, the traditional way

I am an engineer and woodworker with a small woodshop in the Canadian Prairies. Woodworking is my passion, and I turn to it as a release from the stresses of everyday life. I practice traditional woodworking – traditional joinery methods, using a mixture of hand and power tools.

You will find  a ton of drawboring, a lot of mortise and tenons, and the occasional dovetail in my builds. I will also post quite a few restorations of old tools, both hand and power. This and That pages contain various topics like techniques, tool modifications and general musings. Oh, and I’ll also add occasional thoughts and reviews of the tools I use.

Some of my posts will follow the very first time I attempt a certain type of joint or project. Others will follow projects I have built numerous times before. My hope is that all of my posts will provide fellow woodworking enthusiasts with some useful information or at the very least, some enjoyment.

I also make custom pieces. If you have any questions, requests or would just like to say hi, feel free to contact me.
